Egypt- December 5- The SHETA Consortium, comprising of Hemaya, Tadweera and STO, is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to become the representative office in Cairo in the presence of H.E. Ambassador Hisham Badr Assistant Minister for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence, and Initiatives – Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. Established in 1981, FEE is one of the world’s largest environmental education organizations, with over 100 member organizations in 81 countries.

FEE’s new strategic plan, GAIA 20:30, places climate action at the forefront of its five programs: Eco-Schools, Young Reporters for the Environment, Learning About Forests, Green Key, and Blue Flag. These programs aim to empower individuals and communities to take action and make a positive impact on the environment. By prioritizing climate action, FEE and the SHETA Consortium are aligning their efforts to create a more sustainable future for Egypt.

Hemaya, an NGO operating in Nuweiba, since 1997 has been at the forefront of sustainability, waste management, education, and socio-economic and cultural development.

Tadweera, a Pan-Arab Social Enterprise, is dedicated to promoting a circular economy through innovative and data-driven solutions.

STO, established NGO in 2022, is dedicated to raising awareness and promoting concepts, practices, and frameworks for sustainable tourism.

With the collaboration of FEE, the SHETA Consortium will be able to implement impactful initiatives that address the urgent challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental pollution.This partnership marks an important milestone in Egypt’s journey towards a more sustainable future.
