Tadweera is honored to be a member of the UNESCO Global Education Partnership (GEP), actively participating in its mission to integrate climate education across all learning environments.

The Greening Education Partnership (GEP) is a global initiative that takes a whole-of-system approach to support countries to tackle climate crisis by harnessing the critical role of education. As a collaborative platform for governments and other stakeholders including inter-governmental organizations, civil society, youth, academia, and private sector, Greening Education Partnership aims to deliver strong, coordinated and comprehensive action that will prepare every learner to acquire the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes to tackle climate change and to promote sustainable development.

The Greening Education Partnership (GEP) stands as a beacon of hope in the face of the climate crisis, championing a comprehensive, whole-of-system approach to education. This global initiative is dedicated to empowering nations to confront environmental challenges by leveraging the transformative power of education. As a dynamic collaborative platform, GEP unites governments, inter-governmental organizations, civil society, youth, academia, and the private sector, all working in concert to cultivate a robust, coordinated response to climate change.

At the heart of GEP’s mission is the commitment to equip every learner with the essential knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to address climate change and foster sustainable development. By integrating climate education into all learning environments, GEP aims to inspire a generation of informed and proactive global citizens.

Tadweera proudly aligns with the UNESCO Global Education Partnership, playing a vital role in advancing its vision. Ms. Yamama, representing Tadweera, is an active member of the GEP working group. In this capacity, she collaborates with esteemed global leaders and experts to propel the partnership’s objectives forward. Her contributions ensure that climate action and sustainable practices are seamlessly woven into educational systems around the world.

Together, through the Greening Education Partnership, we are not just preparing learners for the future—we are empowering them to shape it. By fostering a culture of sustainability and resilience, we can create a brighter, more sustainable world for generations to come.

Tadweera Pillars

  • Green Space & RVM Implementation: Introducing sustainability concepts and eco-friendly behaviors in schools and universities across the MENA Region through the use of Green Spaces and Reverse Vending Machines (RVM) for solid waste segregation and sorting from the source.

  • Certifications & Green Projects: Developing “Environment & Climate Change” certificates and steering graduation projects in educational institutions towards impactful green projects.

  • Capacity Building: Organizing Training-of-Trainers (ToT) courses and workshops, and providing comprehensive Trainers Kits to scale environmental education capabilities.

  • Community Engagement & Smart Segregation: Engaging diverse communities (schools, universities, HORECA, tourists, beaches & marine, and residential communities) in smart waste segregation from the source (via RVMs), organizing Clean-up Activities, and developing Green Spaces.

Future University

Future University and Tadweera International Join Forces to Implement Green Education & Sustainable Communities Initiative.

Future University hosted a momentous event where Dr. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University, and Yamama Kenawy, Founder and Managing Director of Tadweera, came together to announce a strategic cooperation agreement focused on introducing Green Education for Future University students & promoting sustainability behavior among the university community at large. The event highlighted the importance of these initiatives in enhancing human life and well-being, as well as contributing to the development of a sustainable ecosystem.

Both parties recognized the mutual benefits of this collaboration and its potential to drive positive change in Egypt. By implementing the Green Education and Egypt Sustainable Communities Initiatives, they aim to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and foster a more sustainable eco-system and green economy.

The cooperation agreement includes a range of programs designed to:

  • Enable the university students to be climate change ready & upskilling them to face the current environment challenges in an effective way.
  • Prepare Future University to be the first accredited Eco-Campus in Egypt, an certificate awarded by Foundation of Environmental Education (FEE) which is considered to be one of the highest & most globally recognised acknowledgement in this field.
  • Design, build & launch Green Spaces, which is an area for collecting & sorting waste from the source.
  • Engage Future University communit at large in eco-friendly practices & sustainable aactions.


Tadweera, a social enterprise company committed to responsible profit with an eco-friendly and sustainable mindset, will leverage its expertise in promoting circular economy solutions to support these programs. By empowering local communities through education, awareness, job creation, and entrepreneurship opportunities centered towards shift the community behavior into a more eco-friendly and sustainable one, Tadweera aims to drive positive social, economical and environmental impact.

This agreement marks a significant step towards introducing Green Education in Egypt hoping that more universities & schools will join such initiatives.
